8 Dangers of Diet Soda
You’ve probably noticed I mention diet soda quite often as something you need to eliminate from your diet as quickly as you can. It is a huge peeve of mine (along with a few others, like agave). I know many people enjoy diet soda and feel it is a “freebie” because it contains zero calories. What many people fail to realize is diet soda can be very detrimental to their health. It is also not beautifying at all- in fact it will diminish your beauty. ~ Health Freedoms
Why is diet soda unhealthy? Let me count the ways!
1. Neurotoxic
While artificial sweeteners may be a zero calorie alternative to sugar, they are in no way healthier. Diet sodas may use a variety of artificial sweeteners in place of sugar, including aspartame, which acts as a neurotoxin.
Also known as NutraSweet, aspartame originally received FDA approval for use in carbonated beverages in1983, and it still remains the most commonly used sweetener in diet soda. Annually, reactions to aspartame result for a majority of the adverse reaction reports made to the food and drug administration.
Made from L-aspartyl-L-phenylalanyl-methyl-ester, aspartame is 200 times as sweet as sugar and contains negligible calories. Once in the human body, aspartame breaks down into phenylalanine, aspartic acid, and methanol. Methanol is a wood alcohol poison that, when heated above 86 degrees Fahrenheit (the human body temperature is 98.6 degrees), converts to formaldehyde. Aspartame is also an excitotoxin that builds up in the brain, and can excite brain neurons to the point of cell death.
2: Causes Headaches and Other Symptoms
Another artificial sweetener commonly used in diet sodas, sucralose, may cause a host of health problems including headaches.
Made from a modified sugar molecule, sucralose is supposed to pass through the body unabsorbed. Because sucralose is relatively new in the market still, its long-term effects have not been measured. Some evidence1 suggests sucralose may cause migraines, gastrointestinal issues, and thymus gland damage. Sucralose may also intensify sugar cravings, increase appetite, and trigger insulin release.
3: Acidifying
Soda is made up of a number of acidic chemicals. It is one of the most acidic substances humans ingest. The acids in diet soda demineralize the bones and teeth, and can lead to fractures and osteoporosis. Acid in the body also can lead to a number of health conditions such as inflammation and corrosion of body tissue. When your body is overly acidic your skin will not be as beautiful or youthful. It will contribute to looking older.
4: Caffeinated
Many diet sodas contain caffeine, which is an artificial stimulant and an addictive substance. Caffeine also excessively taxes the liver and can hamper its ability to cleanse and filter toxins from the body. Additionally, caffeine can trigger stress hormones, which can result in chronic stress and weight gain. Caffeine is also a diuretic, which dehydrates the body. It’s best to avoid caffeine in all its forms, particularly diet soda.
5: Increases Risk of Obesity
Studies show that although diet soda has no caloric value, it may have an impact on insulin similar to sugar ingestion. This is most likely due to the cephalic phase insulin response in the brain. When you taste the sweet in diet soda, your body perceives it as sugar and causes the pancreas to release insulin just as it would if you were consuming actual sugar.
Some studies show that drinking diet soda may increase the incidence of obesity and/or prevent you from losing weight. In fact, researchers at the University of Texas Health Center made some startling findings when testing the link between obesity and diet soda.
Obesity risk increased as followed:
26.5 percent for people drinking up to ½ can of diet soda per day, and 24 percent for regular soda drinkers consuming up to one can per day54.5 percent for one to two cans of diet soda per day as opposed to 32.8 percent for those drinking the same amount of regular soda57.1 percent for people drinking more than two cans of diet soda per day as opposed to 47.2 percent for people drinking the same amount of regular soda
In other words, diet soda consumption had a higher correlation with obesity rates than consumption of caloric soda containing sugar or high-fructose corn syrup.
6: Increases Toxic Load
There’s not a lot that’s natural in diet soda. Here are just a few of the ingredients you may find:
Carbonated waterArtificial coloringPhosphoric acidPotassium benzoateCitric acid
Doesn’t sound so delicious and healthy, does it! It sounds nasty, and that is because it is indeed a nasty product. Diet soda places a significant toxic load on your liver and can contribute to toxic sludge in your intestines. You are much better off drinking pure, filtered, non-tap water.
7: Increases Risk of Heart Disease
A study at University of Miami Miller School of Medicine4 showed that people who drank diet soda daily had a 61 percent increased risk of a cardiovascular event. The study followed more than 2,500 participants for about nine years, during which 559 vascular events occurred. Even accounting for age and other risk factors, the risk with diet soda consumption appeared to be at least 48 percent higher. With that kind of risk, why take a chance on diet soda?
8: May Contribute to Metabolic Syndrome
A study at University of Minnesota’s School of Public Health in 2008 linked diet soda to metabolic syndrome, a cluster of metabolic disorders including obesity, high blood pressure, elevated triglycerides and hormone resistance. According to the study, consuming diet soda increased the risk of developing metabolic syndrome by 34 percent, which was higher than the elevated risk from consuming two other unhealthy types of foods – meat (26 percent increased risk), and fried foods (25 percent increased risk).
With all of these health risks, you have to ask yourself, is diet soda worth it? Avoiding soda may be one of the best things you can do for your health and beauty.

I’ve been talking a lot recently about Beyond Organics, the meat and dairy products they will be producing and how great it will all be. Knowing where your food comes from is so important, so I recently traveled to southern Missouri to the Beyond Organic Ranch Headquarters to see it all for myself. What I found is nothing short of amazing when you consider how most of our food is raised. The cattle are 100% green fed which means all their food comes from grazing, the water they drink is from an onsite spring, they are some of the best cared for cows in the world.
This letter was written by my friend Jordan Rubin, author of The Maker’s Diet and founder of Beyond Organics, to describe where the idea came from and the basic philosophy by which the business will be run.Beyond Organics

When I tell people that I have recently fulfilled a dream of mine by creating a sustainable, “beyond organic” ranch/farm, most immediately jump to the same conclusion. “So, you plan to raise grass-fed beef and pastured chickens and eggs, and milk organic dairy cows, goats and sheep” they assume. While I’m a huge fan of consuming grass fed meat and dairy, and am extremely passionate about transforming the health of our nation and world, this project is about completing a journey I started 15 years ago—and it feels less like a choice and much more like a responsibility.
You don’t have to look far to see the signs that our nation is in peril—and that we need to act in order to preserve the resources we’ve been blessed with in America today. Our right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness is quietly under siege, and yet many of us do not realize it. We have been lulled into a false sense of security and a false sense of sustainability that has largely left us complacent and oblivious.
Have you every wondered what would happen to you or your family if the three to four days worth of groceries at your local supermarket were not replenished? What would you do for food, water, and medicine? It’s an extreme example, of course, but I would guess that most people would never even ask the question or consider their level of preparedness if such an event took place. Our dependence and even addiction to the existing industrial food machine has led to a disastrous “dis-connect” between US and our FOOD.
In my view, we are at a critical crossroads as a nation and our current path is NOT SUSTAINABLE—in any sense of the word. And its not just about the food we eat—whether it is organic or not. Its about our health, our families, our communities and our economy. How much longer can we skate on such thin ice?

The JourneyIn 1994, I was stricken with Crohn’s disease along with multiple other illnesses. It completely turned my life upside down. In fact, it sent my life into a death spiral, one that was not reversed until I began to eat the whole living foods and powerful probiotics that my body needed to survive and thrive.
As part of my journey back to health, I lived in an RV that I parked in front of the beach and sometimes a local health food store parking lot in San Diego. What would drive me to this? I parked near the beach to breath the fresh ocean air and in front of a health food store that provided the raw dairy, grass-fed beef, fresh, raw produce and fermented foods that my ailing body needed, and those foods were often in short supply. I would wake up and try and be the first person in the store to secure my raw dairy, eggs from pastured chickens, fresh grassfed meats and organic produce. This is the time when the vision for this farm began. As I regained my health, I vowed that I would one day ensure access to all of these healthy foods for myself and my future family.
I want to make that point crystal clear. I never want to be without the foods that helped transform my health. This is even more important to me in an age where the government increasingly tells us what we can and can not eat—this is especially true with raw dairy. As a husband and father, I want the ability to provide the foods that I believe bring life for my family. Not taking my health for granted means being as close to the source of the food as possible, and the best way to do that is to control the supply.
The LandThe obvious first step in controlling the supply is acquiring the space required for agriculture and livestock production. My space is now over 8,000 acres of land in southern Missouri, where we are currently pioneering the largest organic certification project in the entire state of. But my vision is much bigger than organic. When I survey the land, this is what I see. I see the means to feed thousands of families with the world’s healthiest food. I see a system that provides the maximum nutrition per acre and leaves the land more fertile after each season, rather than stripped and depleted. I see a food production model that is sustainable in EVERY sense of the word.
Sustainability gets a lot of publicity these days, and for good reason. The basic concept of sustainability where it relates to land is the ability to keep the land productive over time with little or no inputs from the outside. Unfortunately, I don’t think most people really understand what goes into sustainable food production. In fact, I thought I knew, only to be thrown by the most simple of questions. Am I a farmer or a rancher?
The key, if you want to have land that is truly sustainable, is to be both. Now, when most people think of farming, they rightly think of growing produce crops. And we certainly have plans to do just that. But the most important thing I will grow is . . . grass. Good grass is the lynchpin of a sustainable, mixed agricultural operation. Why? The grass is the connection between the sun and the animals.
Every blade of grass on my land is a solar panel. It stretches out, takes in the rays of the sun, and uses that energy to grow as it pulls nutrients from the soil. When the animals eat the grass, they are capturing the sun’s transferred energy. If really pressed, I would tell people that I am, in fact, a sun harvester and a grass farmer.
While that sounds simple, in reality, it is an intense process. My learning curve started when I was taught that there is no such thing as “one grass” to feed animals. In order to provide total nutrition to ruminant animals such as cows, goats and sheep, I need to have multiple species of grasses, herbs, forbes and legumes for the animals to graze on. This provides a more diverse ecological system, as the grasses support each others growth, and the diet of the livestock. But it all begins with the sun, the source of energy and nutrition captured by the tiny solar panel that is each blade of grass.
The AnimalsControlling the supply means not only having healthy land and healthy grass, but raising healthy produce and livestock. That is not easy to do. Everybody in the natural health industry wants to have the ultimate highest standard—organic, sustainable, raw, etc.—and just about everybody falls down at some point. I am committed to growing and raising the highest quality foods and beverages available anywhere.
On our ranches and farms all ruminant animals used to produce organic meat and dairy will be 100% grass-fed and finished and our chickens will have ample opportunity to consume most of their nutrition by grazing. In order to do this, we will use a system known as Management Intensive Grazing. At its best, this system will ensure that our animals are always eating grass from the ground, even during winter. While the grass they eat in winter might not be growing at the time, I believe it is still preferable to stored forage, or hay. Our livestock will be grass-fed and grass-finished.
It takes a lot of land and detailed management to accomplish the 100% grass fed plan. A conventional dairy farm, for instance, is able to raise up to 10 cows per acre. The best I can hope for on my farm is one adult cow per acre. If you leave a cow to it’s own devices, it will eat grass, a lot of grass. That’s the diet it was created to consume.Conventional farms may be able to produce more food, but the food we produce will be much more nutritious and our animals much healthier. We will not be measured by how much food per acre we create, but by how much nutrition per bite.
What is the hardest part? Believe it or not, it’s not taking care of the livestock and chickens. It’s taking care of the grass. If you can cultivate diverse and nutrient-dense forage, then the health of the animals will pretty much take care of itself.Any sustainable farm or ranch is an ecosystem unto itself. Ours will not just have cattle, we will also have goats, sheep and chickens freely roaming, and we’ll have bees, fruits, vegetables and even fish in our large spring fed lake. Our farm will be more ecologically sound because of our multi-specie approach.
The ProduceIf we are to meet our goal of being able to feed thousands of people, we know we are going to need more than animals. We have to grow produce on our land.
Our growing season is shorter than it would be in warmer climates, typically from May to November. We will use that time to grow a wide variety of fruits, vegetables, herbs and spices. To supplement the shorter growing season, we will utilize greenhouses, hothouses and other hydroponic farming methods, allowing us to grow year around.The best part about a sustainable farm is that nothing goes to waste. The manure from some of our livestock will be used to fertilize some of the produce. And, because that livestock is fed on organic grass, the fertilizer is perfect.
The WaterI chose the land in southern Missouri for many reasons. It is great land for mixed agricultural use, able to support both produce and livestock. Missouri also allows for the sale of raw dairy on the farm and delivered directly to homes. But perhaps the most important reason for selecting the location of our properties is the live water.
Our properties daily produce millions of gallons of pure and pristine spring water. Water is even more critical to life than food is. Before you can have livestock, before you can have grass, you have to have water. I think access to such a vital natural resource is the absolute starting point for a sustainable farm. It will allow us to grow healthy grass, provide water for our animals, and sustain the vitality of our crops.
The GoalI have started this “beyond organic” farming and ranching operation for many reasons. I am fed-up with a bureaucratic system that tells us what we can and can not eat, and worse, promotes unhealthy food. I want to be able to provide for myself—and more importantly, my family—the healthiest foods possible. I want to provide food, water and even shelter for thousands of people.
If I succeed in these goals, our “beyond organic” farm/ranch may be the only one of its kind in the United States. Many may have the same vision, but lack the resources, and those who have the resources often won’t do everything it takes to get there. I will do whatever it takes to get there. When faced with a seemingly insurmountable obstacle the easy thing to do is back away, to retreat, let someone else deal with the problem. I am no longer satisfied watching from the sidelines—I’ve decided to do my part and (hopefully) become part of the solution.
My journey began in an RV in San Diego 15 years ago. And while many would say that “I have arrived”—I know that my work here has just begun.

Our properties daily produce millions of gallons of pure and pristine spring water. Water is even more critical to life than food is. Before you can have livestock, before you can have grass, you have to have water. I think access to such a vital natural resource is the absolute starting point for a sustainable farm. It will allow us to grow healthy grass, provide water for our animals, and sustain the vitality of our crops.
The GoalI have started this “beyond organic” farming and ranching operation for many reasons. I am fed-up with a bureaucratic system that tells us what we can and can not eat, and worse, promotes unhealthy food. I want to be able to provide for myself—and more importantly, my family—the healthiest foods possible. I want to provide food, water and even shelter for thousands of people.
If I succeed in these goals, our “beyond organic” farm/ranch may be the only one of its kind in the United States. Many may have the same vision, but lack the resources, and those who have the resources often won’t do everything it takes to get there. I will do whatever it takes to get there. When faced with a seemingly insurmountable obstacle the easy thing to do is back away, to retreat, let someone else deal with the problem. I am no longer satisfied watching from the sidelines—I’ve decided to do my part and (hopefully) become part of the solution.
My journey began in an RV in San Diego 15 years ago. And while many would say that “I have arrived”—I know that my work here has just begun.

You can simply become a customer, a member, a Junior Associate and an Associate. Obviously, to max out the compensation plan you’d have to join as an Associate, which is roughly $160 ($30 for the membership fee and $130 worth of product). In any event its a new day and I've to pick myself up from falling on my face. Doesn't make it hurt any less but I'm detirmined not to let it effect me in a negitive way. I have come to the relazation that I can choose how I respond to a situation. Also how I repsond to a situation can show how much integrity I indeed do have. Many times as a business owner you have to remind your self it isn't personal, its just business, and thats just how the world works. I to may have to face a descision some day as Jeff did there's no telling as the future has not yet been told.
I also come to realize that if I were to let negitive things hold me back then that is less people I could really be helping. I have not lost my excitement for the business or the oppertunity that NuVia3 has. Rather I have been royally pissed off. That only makes me more detirmined to succed, and dig down deep. The last several years I have really gotten an education and found out what I'm made of both physically and mentally.
One of the resons so many network marketers fail is because they let someone steal their dreams. You cant steal mine! I hold on to them tightly. I have been building my dream board that shows a bass boat and a toyota tunda and I can already see the NuVia3 wrap as well as of all my sponsors. That reminds me. I have a few reels in today that I'm cleaning and doing a super tune on. I'm going to be using the money I earn from reels to pay for my new Tournament jeresy this spring. The sponsors I have are absolutely fantastic and I'm really looking forward to representing them this year. I plan to keep working theAlabama Reel Medic.com and my Independant Distributorship. I've been busy though trying to get my sites ranked so I can have more people reading my blog as I figure people will find it interesting. If any I hope I an at least inspire 1 person who would enjoy this business. Thats another things that drives me is being able to see omeone succed in NuVia3 is awsome. Im very proud of my upline who made soe big moves this month. Congrats to all of you Im proud of y'all! keep up the great work!

Clearing Up Confusion
I have to admit that my last post has likely confused many who are looking for a oppertunity in taking on a 700 Billion Dollar Indusry. However I'm willing to bet that the smart ones who are reading my blog will indeed see the value of my Born A Swede Die A Viking post. As with any business you have to become a bit thick skinned. You have to be detirmined to succed. The very same kind of detirmination I use in the Bass fishing world I can Use to effectively attack a 700 Billion Dollar Industry and Win, not just once but 6 times over!!!!!!!!!! It is my belief that people are indeed intelligent but are afraid to step away from whats comfortable. They have allowed them selves to be fed the lies that you can support your self with a J.O.B.
Anyone laid off recently?
In this day and age with the economy we face it's even more vital to build a home based business for millions of people around the world. Many use the oppertunity I have to suppliment their incomes, other go on and become Millionaires. YES you heard me right MILLION DOLLAR WINNER'S!!!!! Every one likes winners, don't you? In bass fshing I may be no Kevin Van Dam, but in my home based business I most assuredly am on the ball. Maybe I could better serve you in telling you about me and my life. Where I came from and how I got to where I am today.
I have not always been deaf. I wasnt born deaf. I started losing my hearing when I was 5. Over the years it progressively got worese. I am now legally deaf. Although with the help of a hearing aide in my right ear I can indeed hear some sound. I had an abusive childhood where my adopted father had whooped on me pretty good as a young child. I can't honestly say he had anything to do with my hearing loss however.
It wasn't long before I was sent to live with my Grandpearnets who I ened up calling Mom and Dad.
This is where I got my passion for fishing from as both my grandfather,great grandfather, and uncle all fished.
I haven't stopped fishing since then. I just love it.
I had moved around alot while I was young. I had ended up being pretty angry and soon landed in a Childrens Home where I stayed untill I was 18. I was Football Manager and Jr Class Vice president in High School at Princeton High, in Princeton ,Il. I didnt care for School for much all I wanted to do was fish go figure. When I turned 18 I was not prepared for what the world had to offer. I got involved ith the wrong people and fell into drug use which lasted for several years I was far too gulliable.I learned very quick how People would use you. Im a bit clumsy if you have ever watched home improvement with Tim Allen then you'll get the idea what I mean. so I was always injury prone due to being unsteady on my feet and the use of alchohol.
By the time I became 25 I had discovered the reason I as having problems was because I had Bipolar issues. Not to a severe degree but enough to cause difficultly and it got me put on xanax. I had taken xanax for years as prescribed. However I felt just sick of being on medication all the time when it made me loopy. I got off of the xanax in april of 2010. I'm doing quite well with out it now as I have learned many tips and tricks during therapy to manage my moods. Really it is all in your head i found out. Which is why investing in my self to improve My self as many network marketers do is a life saving deal for me.
When I was 25 I was also married. I had previous MLm experince and I knew how to build a 6 figure income with a company called New Image International. It was my ex wifes business but I was the one who worked the business. I was trained by Dale Calvert who is well respected in the industry. We ended up getting a divorce and by the time that was done and over with New Image was no longer around and had sold out to asia. I have to admit that made me so darn mad at Dale as he was supposed to be my mentor. Hw ever certian issue hae opened up my eyes to the nature of the business.
In the mean time I got Sponored by Langill Lures in 2009 and started The Alabama Reel Medic.com Which is my fishing reel cleaning, and repair business. Neddless to say I have made money at it but not enough to consistantly survive on a week to week bases with the reel business. Never the less I kept researching and looking for the oppertunity but I needed it to be the right oppertunity. However I know that there are people out there who who try to put me down, and and use the fact that I have a mental illness to try to manipulate my emotions. I have changed I'm not the same man I was in 2000. I have worked hard to change my life for the better. By the way for all you nay sayers out there please email all the nasty stuff you want I dont dont care. I will tell you why! The more someone puts me down I have learned to get very angry. Angry enough to get that attitude which The actor of american pie who was called Stiffler made quite famous. Here is my response but in a nicer way. "That's fine I'll show ya I mean business, that I will be THE FIRST DEAF MILLIONARE IN NET WORK MARKETING. I Will Be NuVia3's Deaf Millionaire that they can use as press for somthing NO OTHER NETWORK MARKETING COMPANY CAN CLAIM THAT THEY MADE A DEAF PERSON A MILLIONAIRE. It hasn't been done!!!!!!!" The more people tell me no or say something bad about me the more detirmined you will make me to help other people and make them successful. I got on the blog this am and some guy was calling me a scammer. Thats ok he gave me fuel to fight it out another day. Thanks whoever you were!

Born A Swede Die A Viking
A Swedish Warrior's Philosophy to Bass Fishing

It's no secret that Swedes and Norsemen were the Vikings in the days of old. History tells us so. The Viking philosophy was taught to young children to prepare them for the hardships of life. We knew life was cold and often times a cruel world. We stood tall no matter what the odds. We valued strength not just in our bodies but our minds as well. We laughed at our enemies, and pain only served to remind us that we're alive and our job was not yet done. I know at this point your wondering what this has to with fishing.
Well I'm going to tell you and maybe then you'll understand a little bit more about me and who I am.
The Love of the Water
Many of us loved the sea, or any kind of water we could sail upon. There's just something about the wind in our face and the sun upon our back, and the rolling of the waves that told us we're alive. It strengthened us. We stood taller, and we meant business once we set foot upon a boat. We were prepared for war. At this day and age I've traded my sword for a fishing rod, but make no mistake I have indeed come to do battle among the elements, against the fish and other competitors. To me a bass tournament is just another battle ground. Once I set foot upon a boat I mean business my mindset completely changes it's me against the fish. I am the eternal hunter. I do not worry 1 iota about the other competitors. I will battle the wind, the rain, the heat or cold nothing will stop me. The men in my bass club and those who fish against me know this. No matter how hurt, tired or hungry I become I do not quit, nor do I complain or whine. Those who tell me it's too hot or cold to catch fish I laugh at them and to spite them I will catch fish!
Reaching the Gates of Valhalla
You can call me crazy, but the reason I laugh is because when others get sick or are in pain they stay home in bed snuggled under their covers. They demand to be taken care of by their wives or families. FORGET THAT!!!!! This is where my motto Born a Swede Die a Viking comes into play. This is part of my competitive edge that makes me a force to be reckoned with upon any tournament trail I fish. Those who know me personally know this and they know I am not going to quit. I'm a firm believer in to be the man you have to beat the man. I strive to become a tough competitor to gain the respect of my fellow fishermen.
In 2009 I was hit by a woman who accidently jumped her car over the curb. That following Saturday I still showed up at the launch ramp with torn tendons in my knee. Yet I still showed up with my rods and tackle and I took 3rd place in that very tournament. Was rough water that day to while my boater tore off down the lake at full speed with me screaming in pain along the way. My boater that day was my best friend Greg Maxwell of the Bass Masters Weekend Series. Sure you can laugh I do when I look back at that day.
Now it's 2010 and it's been no secret that I've been suffering from a work related injury to my back. when I worked at Wal-mart. I've had this injury for over the last 4 months now. During this time I have won a tournament plus taken big bass at the same tournament, and just this month took big bass in a wild cat tournament. Yes you're reading this right I took big bass 2 tournaments in a row.
I do not believe this makes me bad to the bone. I'm just doing what I do and I don't know any other way other then to be myself. I refuse to sit on the side lines and watch others play and let life pass me by. That doesn't make me special or any different from other serious bass fishermen unless you count the fact that I'm more stubborn and ornery then a couple of mules, and possiabily a few cards shy of a full deck. Some say I'm down right crazy. I'll reply that they may indeed be right. In any event I do it because I can. When it's all said and done I just want to catch fish. I do not believe I have anything to prove except to myself. The gates of Valhalla do not just open for anyone it's not a right to enter the hall of kings it's an honor that is earned through blood, sweat, and tears.
My Hero's
Historically one of my hero's is Eric the Red known as Leif Ericson I have traced my family tree back to the days of old and I hail from a long line of Pearson's out of Oslo Sweden. I have had family way back when that was actual Vikings that raided up and down the English coast.
One of my hero's in this day and age is Clay Dyer who is sponsored by Strike King. I don't know if he is Swedish but in my eyes that man is a straight up Viking. That is 1 tough boy. He has no hands, or legs and he is hell on wheels in a bass boat. He also coaches high school football. As a matter of fact he coaches the kickers!
I'm impressed not just with his abilities but his mindset, as well as his attitude as well as how he approaches live in general. Now that's a guy who is bad to the bone in my eyes.
Catching the Fish
One of the things I strive to set myself apart in is the fact that I do a lot of research about bass. I study bass biology, habitat, and techniques. You name it. If it has to do with bass I want to know about it. I want to be as effective and to give myself every advantage I can because no one else will do it for me.
Staying Humble
One of the greatest things about bass fishing as a sport is its ability to humble you. If your not on top of your game you may find yourself taking that walk of shame at the weight in with no fish. It's happened to me on several occasions just as it has to others. It happens to all of us. That's why the sport is called fishing and not catching. The trick is what can you learn from those times?
